The Board of Human Care is responsible for demonstrating the love of God by reaching out to all Christ's people, ministering compassionately to all human needs - spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and economical.
This task force is responsible for informing and educating the congregation concerning current issues regarding the life and welfare of body and soul (e.g. stem cell research, cloning, abortion, end of life issues, substance abuse, etc.)
This task force is responsible for striving to be aware of special physical needs of the membership. Assessing those needs, and responding appropriately (e.g. loss of job, change in income, rides to church, fire damage, chemical abuse, etc.)
This task force is responsible for rallying the congregation to respond to various crises in the community, nation, and world (e.g. flood, terrorism response, earthquake, etc.)
This task force is responsible for audio/or video taping the services at Messiah and distributing them to those desiring them (e.g. shut-ins, long-term illness, etc.)
This task force is responsible for educating and serving the congregation concerning matters of body and general health (e.g. parish nurse, deaconess, etc.)
